NB-IoT silicon and a device stack built for non-terrestrial networks, for assets that must report from where no tower reaches.
Terrestrial coverage follows population. Pipelines, shipping, agriculture, forestry and grid infrastructure do not. For a sensor on a remote asset the choice has been an expensive proprietary satellite terminal, or nothing at all.
3GPP non-terrestrial networks change that: the same NB-IoT device can reach a satellite using standardised signalling, at a device cost that makes large deployments viable.

The silicon and the stack both handle non-terrestrial operation, so a device can use a tower where one exists and a satellite where none does, without a second radio.
3GPP NTN rather than a closed satellite protocol, so devices are not locked to one constellation operator.
NB-IoT power behaviour is the whole point of the technology. Satellite operation is designed around it, not bolted on afterwards.
We build both sides, so device behaviour can be tuned against the silicon rather than negotiated across a supplier boundary.
